Biography

My training journey is unique. I was not the ex-athlete trying to get BACK into shape. I had played with different globo gym ‘routines’ but didn’t stick with anything. I had some health issues such as Type 2 Diabetes, first signs of Anemia and I was about 40lbs over weight. I walked into Crossfit for the first time in January 2011, and I knew THIS is where I would turn my life around. That day, I gave up smoking, started eating paleo, and committed to going to CrossFit 5 times a week. Within 4 months, I was off all meds, have dropped a good bit of weight, and gained muscle I had no clue I was capable of acquiring!!!  By August 2011, I competed in my first competition, ‘The Festivus Games’ (which now we host twice a year!!!!).  I have been a Level 1 Crossfit Coach since 2013 and my goal is to help others achieve their goals!!  My passion for coaching and hosting events is out of this world!  I love seeing new people come in who I can instantly have flash backs to being in their shoes, and know ‘oh gosh they are going to love this!’ The excitement I feel to see new members/athletes is so refreshing, but to also see our seasoned  athletes succeed in their Crossfit Journey is nothing but pure excitement! The relationship/friendship/family you build is something you can’t even imagine! I love coaching along side our staff! We all have the same passion for helping others succeed in their fitness journey!!  Strong IS Beautiful.
