My passion for strength and conditioning was sparked early in my baseball career. It was evident to me then how important of a role fitness played in my ability to perform on the field. It was not until after my career was over that I realized how important it was for life off of the field as well. After a few years of “GloboGyming” and attempting to out train a bad diet, I realized something needed to change. That is when I decided to give CrossFit a try. I wanted to hate it, but after a few classes I was hooked. Between Superbowl Sunday that year and summer break, I lost 45lbs. Now I am healthier and more fit as a dad in my 30’s than I was as a college and professional athlete in my 20’s. After years of being a high level athlete that competitive itch still burns inside of me, and CrossFit fills that void perfectly. Being a Coach and Athlete in our community (especially the morning classes) reminds me of going to battle with my teammates and grinding to get better each day. If you have a void to fill, or an itch to scratch Join me for morning class, and try not to love it.
